"Del Rio Revisited:" Radney Foster records tracks (see bottom photos) for his "Del Rio, TX Revisited" album in Austin, TX March 2-4, 2012. The sessions were a live acoustic snapshot of Foster's historic "Del Rio, TX 1959" album released in 1992. That earlier album, co-produced with MPI's Steve Fishell, led to three Top 40 singles for Foster and went on to influence a generation of Texas "maverick" singer-songwriters. The band on these MPI sessions -- including Martie Maguire from the Dixie Chicks on fiddle and mandolin, acoustic guitarist Jon Randall, bassist Glenn Fukunaga and Steve Fishell on Dobro and Hawaiian Guitar -- recorded completely live in a circle without headphones, leakage-be-damned.
