MPI is the only studio clinic in the world that shows you "the real deal."
Since 2008 MPI has hosted sessions with Kris Kristofferson, Delbert McClinton, Raul Malo, Rodney Crowell, Jace Everett, Sam Bush, Jason & the Scorchers, Asleep At The Wheel, Todd Snider, Radney Foster, Jerry Douglas and Robert Earl Keen
We take you inside your favorite artist's live recording session for a once-in-lifetime look at how they create their music. No other clinic allows you such access; you'll see and hear the entire record-making process, from pre-production and arranging to tracking, overdubbing and mixing -- all in world-class studios like the Sound Emporium, Ocean Way or Blackbird in Nashville, TN or Pedernales and Bismeaux Studios in Austin, TX.
Grammy-winning special guest speakers like legendary producer Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, Alice Cooper), producer/engineer David Leonard (Barenaked Ladies, John Mellencamp, Indigo Girls, Prince's "Purple Rain") and 2009 Grammy "Best Album" producer Nathan Chapman (Taylor Swift) share their experiences, wisdom and studio war-stories.
MPI was founded in 2008 by Grammy-winning record producer and musician Steve Fishell as a way for young producers to improve their own skills. Fishell serves as host and teacher, explaining the record-making process with his step-by-step curriculum.
"I wholeheartedly endorse MPI and believe in what they are doing. In fact, I feel they played a key role in getting us back into the studio." --- Jason Ringenberg, frontman forJason & the Scorchers
"I never stopped taking notes, and I feel that I have learned enough to significantly improve my own studio experience and know the difference between a good sound and a great sound. Thank you for taking me to the next level!" Heather Butte, MT
